Product description OPTITOME ② Plasma cutting system
OPTITOME ② is a high definition robust plasma cutting system for highest demands and best cutting qualities. Lincoln Electric has developed the new OPTITOME ② precisely for these requirements, rounding off its range with a high-precision plasma cutting system.
Control
The HPCIII is a further development of the well-known HPC controller, which is known throughout the thermal cutting market. It controls all processes – from movement to the cutting process. Thanks to the new design and the large 21.5″ touch screen display 16/9, the HMI becomes a truly tool user-friendly, automatic and educational. The HPCIII controls all processes precisely and reliably in everyday production.

Flexibility
OPTITOME ② can be equipped with different tools: 1 plasma torch, 1 plasma marker or 1 oxyfuel torch. With a bridge boom it is also possible to cut tubes with 350 mm diameter next to the firing table or rectangular tubes under the bridge. The cutting widths 1500 and 2000 mm can be combined with cutting lengths of 3000, 4000 and 6000 mm. The OPTITOME ② offers the possibility to adapt to a variety of sheet sizes: 2000 x 1000 mm, 1500 x 3000 mm, 2000 x 4000 mm and 2000 x 6000 mm.
Cutting table
The modular cutting table has an extraction segment with a width of 600 mm each. A pneumatic control closes and opens the exhaust air flaps in the respective active cutting area of the table. Efficient extraction and easy cleaning of the slag trays round off the sophisticated impression of the table. Due to the distance between the lower edge of the bridge and the firing table, rectangular tubes up to 200 mm in diameter can be cut or processed directly on the table.
Linear transverse guidance
The torch carriage is equipped with a double ball bearing linear rail, which ensures a smooth and precise movement of the cutting heads. The guide unit is directed to the rear, which prevents contamination or friction due to cutting particles, for example.
Longitudinal guidance
Flat-bottom rails allow smooth guidance through the dual drive system with high positioning accuracy. The rails are effectively protected from slag residues by the protruding table edge, as are the downward rotated gear racks.

For the OPTITOME② there are 2 High Definition plasma power sources FineLine® HD 170A or 300A and FLEXCUT 125A Air-plasma power source to choose from.
Option oxyfuel torch
With automatic gas cycle OXY Essential full managed from HPCIII with help of integrated database and internal automatic ignition thanks to oxy fuel torch MACH HPi. The assembly can easily be mounted in place of the plasma torch in the numerical tool holder with collision protection.
Positioning laser
Green cross-type positioning laser to facilitate torch positioning or program alignment on the plate. This tool is part of the basic equipment of the machine.
Option Pipe Cutting
For cutting all types of shapes in round tubes: Openings, cut-outs, holes, cutting to length, etc. Maximum length: 2, 3, 4 or 6 m, depending on the size of the machine. Maximum diameter: 350 mm, 10 mm thick. Central suction through the hollow shaft, pipe is picked up by three-jaw chuck, pipe is supported by height-adjustable rollers or rollers. Possible to cut on rectangular or square tube box with specific holders.
Safety & Conformity
The machine complies with the new Machinery Directive EN ISO 17916:2016. Safety devices to ensure optimum protection for the operator. The connected cutting table enables the extraction of cutting gases. The emergency mode allows easy access to the cutting tools. OPTITOME② can be easily moved with a forklift truck. On the 2000×4000 and 2000×6000 versions we now add light protection cells fixed on the beam, reinforcing the safety of use of the machine.
